TL;DR
Photogrammetry credits equal gigapixels × the size-tier rate × the Point Cloud Density multiplier. Medium is one quarter of High. A result above 0 and below 0.20 credits is charged as 0.20. A device flatrate does not use this calculation.
Estimate credits
Enter gigapixels and density. The result uses two decimal places, and 0.20 credits when the formula is above 0 and below 0.20.
Dataset size tiers
The whole dataset uses one rate. That rate rises with size.
| Dataset size | Credits per gigapixel |
|---|---|
| 20 GP or smaller | 1.0 |
| Larger than 20 GP, up to 40 GP | 2.0 |
| Larger than 40 GP, up to 100 GP | 4.0 |
| Larger than 100 GP, up to 250 GP | 6.0 |
| Larger than 250 GP | 10.0 |
Point Cloud Density
Medium
0.25×
Default. Enough for most jobs. One quarter of the High credits.
High
1.0×
More points in the finished point cloud. Four times the Medium credits.
Credits = gigapixels × tier rate × quality multiplier. A credit is the total pixels across all images in the dataset.
Where the cost is shown
- Open Data > Data models.
- Choose add.
- Set File type to Image data.
- Select a folder that contains the images. A .zip does not show the cost estimate.
- Choose Next. Processing Settings shows the Cost estimate.
Where to set density
- Organization, as the default for new projects.
- Project, as the default for imports in that project.
- During import, for that dataset.
See Photogrammetry Processing by Sodex.
Flatrate
A dataset processed on a device flatrate does not use these rates. Assign the flatrate before upload. See Device Management Overview in SDX-Cloud.
