Organization Photogrammetry Settings

SDX-Cloud offers photogrammetry processing to transform images into 3D geospatial datasets.

Photogrammetry Powered by Sodex

Photogrammetry processing by Sodex is available in all projects if either:

• Photogrammetry credits are available in your organization, or
• A flatrate is assigned to the capturing device (e.g. Drone or DJI Dock).

It can be used for externally captured image datasets, for example:

• Drone imagery
• Datasets captured with SDX-PocketScan
• Other supported external image sources

How Organization Photogrammetry Settings Work

Organization photogrammetry settings define the default processing configuration for new projects.

• They are applied automatically during project creation.
• They act as a default template for photogrammetry processing.
• They can be overridden at the project level.

Configure Photogrammetry in Organization Settings

1. Open Organization Settings.
2. Go to the Photogrammetry section.
3. Select Processing by Sodex as the default provider.
4. Save your changes.

This selection will automatically apply to all newly created projects unless a project-specific configuration overrides it.

Configure Default Photogrammetry Settings in a Project

Photogrammetry settings configured in a project define the default processing behavior for all imports within that project.

• They apply automatically to all image data uploaded from external devices (e.g. SDX-PocketScan, Drone, DJI Dock).
• They are used as the default configuration for any import in that project.
• They can be adjusted at any time in Project Settings.

1. Open your Project.
2. Go to Project Settings.
3. Open the Data Models section.
4. Define point cloud precision and density.
5. Save your changes.

Requirements & Obtaining Credits

To purchase photogrammetry processing credits or device flatrates, your organization must have an active SDX-Cloud – Base Package subscription.

The SDX-Cloud – Base Package is required for:

• Purchasing photogrammetry credits
• Purchasing and assigning device flatrates
• Using photogrammetry processing in projects

Photogrammetry credits can be purchased directly through the SDX-Cloud Shop or through your authorized Sodex dealer.

Device flatrates can also be purchased and assigned (e.g. to a Drone or DJI Dock) once the SDX-Cloud – Base Package is active.

Using Device Flatrates

Instead of using credits, you can assign a flatrate to supported devices. Processing of datasets captured with that device will then use the assigned flatrate.

FAQ

What happens if neither credits nor a flatrate are available?

If no photogrammetry credits or device flatrate are available at the time of upload (for externally uploaded datasets), the corresponding data models will be set to a pending state.

Processing can be started once sufficient photogrammetry credits are available.

Can I override project photogrammetry settings for a single import?

Yes. When manually creating a photogrammetry data model, you can overwrite the project’s default settings before starting processing.
