Photogrammetry processing is now available using the images captured during a PocketScan scan. This article shows the end-to-end workflow: select the PocketScan images, import them as Image data, then continue with the standard photogrammetry processing steps.
Prerequisites
- You have access to the target SDX-Cloud project.
- A PocketScan scan is uploaded and shows Status: Processed in Data import.
- Your organization has sufficient Photogrammetry credits (check the indicator in the top bar).
Step 1: Open the PocketScan images
- Open the project.
- Go to Data import.
- In Snapshots, locate the PocketScan scan you want to use (must be Processed).
- Open the scan’s Processed files (via the action icon in the row).
You do not have to download the images ZIP. You can select the PocketScan images directly from the scan. Downloading the ZIP is only needed if you want a local copy or need to upload the images elsewhere.
Step 2: Import the PocketScan images as “Image data”
There are two ways to provide PocketScan images for the import:
- Option A (recommended): Select the PocketScan images directly from the scan.
- Option B (alternative): Download the images ZIP and upload it during the import flow.
Option A (recommended): Select images directly from the scan
- Go back to Data import.
- Click "+" on the top right hand side to start a new import.
- Set File type to Image data.
- For Images folder, open the selector and choose the folder that contains the PocketScan images.
- Optional: Enable Create pins from images if you want SDX-Cloud to create map pins from the image positions/metadata.
- Click Next and complete the remaining import fields.
Option B (alternative): Upload the ZIP during import (no Files tile needed)
- In the File Explorer selector, click the + icon in the top-right to upload the PocketScan images
.zip. - After upload completes, select the ZIP as the Images folder.
Step 3: Continue with the standard photogrammetry workflow
After the images are imported successfully, proceed exactly like you would for any other photogrammetry dataset. Select the processing settings as required by your workflow, and monitor progress until the outputs are generated. Alternatively, activate Project Notifications, an email will automatically be sent to you when a snapshot either finishes processing, or fails.
