Processed Files in Data Models
What it does
Processed files contain the input and output data of a data model. These files allow you to review, download, and reuse the data generated or used during photogrammetry processing or manual import.
Where to find it
- Open your project.
- Open a data model.
- Locate the data model table.
- Select the folder icon on the right side of the data model row.
How to use it
- Select the folder icon of a data model.
- Review the available processing files in the popup.
- Select a file to download it.
You should now see all available input and output files for the selected data model and be able to download them.
Available processing files
Input images
These are the images used for photogrammetry processing. If a .zip file was uploaded, only the extracted images may be displayed here.
If the images contain supported EXIF location data, they will appear as pins in the infomap and in the gallery after processing.
Orthophoto (.tiff)
The orthophoto is generated during photogrammetry processing or can be added during manual import.
It is used as an overlay in the infomap to provide a detailed top-down visualization of the 3D data. It is not used for measurements.
Model file (e.g. .laz / .las / .landxml)
The model file contains the georeferenced 3D data used for all measurements and operations.
Photogrammetry processing outputs a .laz file. Other supported formats may be available when importing data manually.
The 3D visualization can be accessed via SDX-CAD in the infomap toolbar.
Report PDF
The report PDF is generated during photogrammetry processing or can be included during manual import.
It contains detailed processing information such as:
- Feature matching
- Image overlap
- Ground Control Point (GCP) detection (if configured)
This report is intended for advanced analysis and optimization of photogrammetry results.
Use the report PDF to identify potential improvements in image capture quality or GCP setup for better processing results.
Download behavior
- All files can be downloaded directly from the popup.
- Images are downloaded as a .zip file.
- Large image sets may take some time before the download starts.
File Explorer access
All processing files are also available in the File Explorer under a folder named after the original data model name.
If the data model name is changed after creation, the folder name in the File Explorer will not be updated.
Limits / Notes
- Not all processing file types are available for every data model.
- Available files depend on how the data model was created (photogrammetry processing, manual import, or device input such as SDX-PocketScan).
- Large datasets may require additional time for download preparation.
