Sodex Mobile 1.1.12 makes field capture more predictable with safer GNSS quality changes, improved GCP and scan controls, clearer processing settings, and more reliable scan completion.
Summary
Sodex Mobile 1.1.12 improves workflows across 3D Scan, SDX-Pole measurements, Ground Control Points (GCPs), NTRIP configuration, and general app interaction.
The release also adds a minimum capture size for Mapping Pro and Demo licenses and improves how the app handles scans that stop early or complete automatically.
Key highlights
Confirm GNSS quality changes
When you disable GNSS quality in Sodex Mobile, the app now asks you to confirm the change before applying it. This makes the effect of disabling the quality check explicit.
For more information about GNSS status and receiver details, see Article: Sodex Mobile: GNSS Receiver Management.
Manage scan GCPs more easily
The GCP screens and interactions have been improved. GCP points captured for a scan can now be renamed or deleted.
For the complete GCP workflow, see Article: Sodex Mobile - How to work with Ground Control Points and Article: Sodex Mobile: Capture GCPs directly after a scan.
Reduce device load while a 3D Scan sheet is open
Camera activity pauses while a sheet is open on the 3D Scan page. This reduces device load, heat, and battery drain while you work with the open sheet.
Dismiss the keyboard cleanly
Revised keyboard and toolbar behavior lets you use Done to dismiss the keyboard cleanly from input fields.
Improve measurement details and map interaction
Measurement details and the map now use a clearer layout and more consistent interactions. The presentation is also more consistent between the measurement detail view and the map.
For the layer-based measurement workflow, see Article: Sodex Mobile: Capturing measurements with the SDX-Pole Antenna.
Apply NTRIP settings consistently
Shared NTRIP configuration handling now applies the same settings consistently throughout Sodex Mobile.
For profile management, see Article: Sodex Mobile: Manage NTRIP profiles.
Show an empty state for layers and surveys
The layer and survey list now shows a dedicated empty-state view when it does not contain any items.
Select and identify processing modes more clearly
Settings now include a localized processing-mode selector. Scan rows also show visual indicators for the selected processing option.
For an overview of the available processing methods, see Article: Sodex Mobile: Lidar vs Photogrammetry processing.
Show a countdown before capture
A countdown now appears before scan capture begins. The countdown gives you a short preparation period before recording starts.
Require at least 15 frames for Mapping Pro and Demo licenses
Scans made with Mapping Pro and Demo licenses require at least 15 frames before they can continue through the scan completion flow. If a scan stops before it reaches the minimum, Sodex Mobile handles it as an insufficient-frame scan instead of completing it as a normal scan.
For license-specific behavior, see Article: Sodex Mobile: SDX-PocketScan Licenses.
Fixes and improvements
- Scan completion: Scan completion now handles insufficient frames and automatic stopping more reliably.
- Insufficient-frame handling: The insufficient-frames dialog is reset correctly before the scan finishes, so an earlier dialog state does not interfere with completion.
- Duplicate completion actions: The app avoids duplicate completion actions when manual stopping and automatic completion occur close together.
- Layer and survey selection: Tap targets, expand/collapse behavior, and selection restoration are more reliable when the survey changes.
- Measurement-map selection: Pending selection on the measurement map is handled more consistently.
- General polish: Small copy and user-experience improvements refine common interactions and app activity handling during capture.
