Sodex Mobile 1.1.19 adds tags, in-app user settings, more reliable measurement and upload workflows, and broad scanning and performance improvements. Update to version 1.1.19 to receive the latest release changes.
Summary
Sodex Mobile 1.1.19 was released on September 14, 2026 and is available in the Apple App Store. This release consolidates the final changes from four builds and focuses on organizing field data, improving scan and upload reliability, and reducing unnecessary device workload.
Key highlights
Organize projects and scans with tags
Create tags, assign them to projects and scans, and filter your work by tag. Tags make it easier to find related field data as your projects grow.
Access and edit user settings in the app
You can now open and edit user settings directly in Sodex Mobile instead of relying on an external settings workflow. For related configuration options, see Article: Sodex Mobile: Settings.
Calculate stockpile volumes with bounded hole interpolation
On-device stockpile volume calculation can interpolate a hole when all three probes hit valid cells and the interpolation range does not exceed 10 m. These conditions prevent the app from reconstructing unsupported or arbitrary gaps.
Save measurements and entities more reliably
The Save action now communicates field validation more clearly. Sodex Mobile also removes trailing spaces from names before saving, which prevents avoidable synchronization problems when you create projects or other entities. At the end of a scan, Skip and Save now perform different actions.
See clearer upload progress and transfer rates
Upload percentage labels now stay aligned with the progress bar, and transfer-rate values use localized formatting consistent with the Jobs page. If you start a scan while an upload is active, Sodex Mobile asks whether to continue the upload or cancel it before starting the scan.
Use the correct workflow on non-LiDAR devices
On supported iPhones without LiDAR, Sodex Mobile treats the workflow as photogrammetry-only, hides the LiDAR segment, and sends corrected device capability information with the upload. The app also shows the appropriate Mapping Pro alert when the device does not support a LiDAR workflow. For more context, see Article: Sodex Mobile: Lidar vs Photogrammetry processing.
Fixes and improvements
- NTRIP position updates: Sodex Mobile now selects the correct position source during receiver state changes, reducing the chance that stale or incorrect coordinates are sent to an NTRIP (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol) caster. See Article: Sodex Mobile: Manage NTRIP profiles for profile-management guidance.
- GNSS height display: The GNSS status now shows ellipsoidal height, calculated from orthometric height and geoid undulation. This aligns the displayed value with processing expectations without changing every project's height system.
- Tracking in repetitive environments: ARKit tracking is more resistant to drift in visually uniform areas such as long corridors and repetitive structures. Drift is reduced, not eliminated in every environment.
- Point-cloud exports: Tilted or fan-shaped exports caused by camera poses rolled relative to depth rasters are corrected, while healthy sessions continue to export normally.
- Lower map and preview workload: Maps are hidden after you leave the SDX-Pole page, idle scan previews run at 30 frames per second, and redundant scan and visualization work is released when it is no longer needed. These changes reduce unnecessary GPU work, heat, and battery load.
- Phone GPS workload: Phone GPS stays at a lower workload while the receiver provides fresh fixes and returns to full accuracy when fallback positioning is needed. Receiver positioning accuracy is not reduced.
- Scan and AR lifecycle: Aborting a scan no longer leaves the full ARKit capture configuration running, and switching mesh or point-cloud visualization no longer retains obsolete callbacks.
- Startup without connectivity: Starting the app without a connection no longer incorrectly signs you out when token refresh fails. This improves startup handling but does not add full offline support.
- Settings synchronization: The NTRIP password is omitted from synchronized settings data.
- Measurement attributes: The Speed Mode option in the measurement-attributes sheet is disabled in the final release. The toggle introduced in an earlier build is not available in the final behavior.
- Interface refinements: The mini-pole-mode icon is now a pencil instead of a ruler.
