Key highlights
SDX-Docs
You can now create and manage custom project documents directly in SDX-Cloud. The release focuses on flexible document creation, reusable layouts and templates, and modules that bring SDX-CAD or Infomap content into project documents. This gives teams a new way to build project-specific reports without relying on a single fixed report format.
Custom attributes for SDX-CAD measurements
SDX-CAD measurements can now use configurable custom fields. Supported field types include text, number, dropdown, and image fields for points, lines, and areas. These attributes can be used in measurement workflows and carried into exports such as CSV, DXF, and PDF.
Navigation-driven URLs for supported views
Supported SDX-Cloud views now keep their navigation state in the browser URL. This makes it easier to share a direct link to the same location in SDX-Cloud with another user. The new behavior is designed to reduce back-and-forth when users need to review the same project view together.
Expanded coordinate-system workflows
SDX-Cloud now supports a Sodex-managed coordinate-system workflow for preset project setup. This expands the preset catalog and improves support for broader coordinate-system coverage, including state-plane and GEOID-driven workflows. The new setup is designed to make preset selection more maintainable and easier to extend.
More advanced measurement and export options
Polygon measurements can now include TRUE 3D surface area, giving users a result that follows the underlying model surface more closely. SDX-CAD cross sections now support DXF export. SDX-Cloud also adds a new point-cloud-to-mesh export flow for DXF and XML outputs in chunk-based surface workflows.
Cloud-managed devices and licensing improvements
SDX-Cloud now supports managed SDX-PocketScan device workflows, so organizations can control selected device settings from the cloud. Drone licensing workflows have been expanded with a new 10 Gigapixel photogrammetry flatrate and better handling of flatrate selection during device setup. These changes make licensing and device assignment more flexible for different operational setups.
Fixes and improvements
The login page now shows the active SDX-Cloud region more clearly and provides direct links to other regions, helping users avoid signing in to the wrong environment.
Project setup and access
- Project creation now includes a clearer warning when a selected coordinate-system setup is not compatible
Imports and workflow clarity
- DC-File/CAL-File and LOK-File imports now provide clearer feedback after drag-and-drop.
- The DC import option has been clarified so users understand that both CAL and DC files are supported and that CAL files are preferred when both are available.
Devices and licensing
- Drone device creation now lets users choose the flatrate type more explicitly and shows availability by flatrate type.
- Managed SDX-PocketScan workflows make it easier to roll out standardized field-device configurations from SDX-Cloud.
Measurement, CAD, and reporting
- DXF export has been brought into the SDX-CAD cross-section workflow for better export consistency.
- TRUE 3D surface measurement and point-cloud mesh export expand the set of advanced analysis and export workflows available in SDX-Cloud.
- SDX-Docs v1 adds a new path for building customer-specific project documents and reports inside SDX-Cloud.
