SDX-Cloud: 2.7.0 - What's New

Summary

SDX-Cloud 2.7.0 expands data import for drone mapping and SDX-PocketScan workflows and improves day-to-day file management in the File Explorer. You can combine files from multiple drone flights into one processed output, import raw SDX-PocketScan data from a ZIP file, and manage files and folders more efficiently.

Combine data from multiple drone flights

When one survey area requires multiple flights, you can select multiple ZIP files or image folders during drone data import. You can also upload multiple rover observation (.obs) files and multiple MRK/image timestamp files. SDX-Cloud merges the observation and timestamp data as needed and processes the flights as one session.

The workflow supports full PPK (Post-Processed Kinematic) processing across the multi-flight session and produces a single combined output.

Import raw SDX-PocketScan data from a ZIP file

SDX-Cloud now provides a Sodex Mobile Import option in the Standalone 3D Model (S3DM) import wizard. Select a ZIP file exported from the SDX-PocketScan that contains scan frames and a metadata.json file. SDX-Cloud reads the required metadata and starts the standard SDX-PocketScan processing workflow automatically.

This supports an offline-to-office workflow: transfer the exported ZIP from the field to a computer, then import it in SDX-Cloud when you have a suitable connection. You no longer need to enter additional metadata for this import.

Manage files more efficiently in File Explorer

The updated File Explorer uses the improved table and adds faster ways to find, select, and move files. Search now also returns matching items inside folders, so you can find content without opening each folder manually.

You can select multiple rows with Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + click on checkboxes or press Ctrl/Cmd + A to select all rows that are currently visible. After selecting multiple rows, drag and drop them onto a folder or onto the breadcrumbs to move all selected items at once.

File sizes now use the same display style as project sizes, and folder sizes now show the accumulated size of their contents.

Fixes and improvements

• Multi-flight drone imports: Previously, each flight produced separate files that had to be processed separately or combined outside SDX-Cloud. SDX-Cloud 2.7.0 accepts multiple ZIP files or image folders in one import and produces a combined output.
• Rover and timestamp data: Previously, only one .obs or MRK/timestamp file could be used per import. You can now upload multiple files and have them merged during processing, including PPK across the session.
• Raw SDX-PocketScan imports: Previously, SDX-Cloud had no direct workflow for a raw SDX-PocketScan ZIP. The new Sodex Mobile Import option reads the ZIP metadata and triggers standard SDX-PocketScan processing automatically.
• Field-to-office workflow: You can now transfer raw SDX-PocketScan data to a computer and import it in SDX-Cloud instead of relying on a direct field upload from the device.
• Improved File Explorer table: The File Explorer now uses the improved table component for a more consistent browsing experience.
• Folder-aware search: Previously, search only helped at the visible level. Search now also finds matching items inside folders.
• Bulk selection shortcuts: You can now use Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + click on checkboxes to select multiple rows and Ctrl/Cmd + A to select all currently visible rows.
• Move multiple items at once: You can now select multiple rows and drag them onto a folder or the breadcrumbs to move them in one action.
• Clearer size display: File sizes now use the same display style as project sizes, and folders now show the accumulated size of their contents.
