Overview
SDX-Mate is the field companion software for SDX systems. It is the on-site user interface used to interact with and control your Sodex scanning device.
SDX-Mate runs as a web application hosted by the SDX system. Most SDX systems provide a local connection (via Wi-Fi hotspot) so you can access SDX-Mate on site.
When and where you use it
You use SDX-Mate in the field, whenever you are working directly with SDX hardware. Typical situations include initial setup, before a scanning session, and checking device status while on site.
SDX-Mate is intended for on-site workflows using the SDX system’s local connection.
What SDX-Mate helps with
SDX-Mate is built to help you set up your device, monitor live status, and manage data capture in the field.
- Live monitoring: View system status and live feedback (for example GNSS status and sensor telemetry) to confirm the device is operating correctly and capturing data as expected.
- Capture control: Start and stop scans, monitor progress, and manage the capture workflow on site.
Live monitoring and scan controls depend on a stable local connection to the SDX system.
What happens after capture
After your field session, the next step is to work with the captured data in SDX-Cloud. Once data is uploaded and processed, you can review results in the relevant SDX-Cloud project.
- Verify data in SDX-Cloud: Confirm the new scan appears in the correct project after upload/processing.
- Review and share: Use SDX-Cloud for visualization, analysis, exports, and collaboration.
