Overview
Every Sodex System—whether it is an SDX-Compact, SDX-4DVision, or any other variant—creates a mobile WiFi hotspot that allows you to locally access the SDX-Mate Web App. This is especially useful for configuration, project selection, starting scans, or performing diagnostics directly from a mobile or desktop device.
Tip
Use the system hotspot when SDX-Cloud is unavailable or when you need quick local access for setup and diagnostics.

Step-by-Step Guide
1. Identify the System SSID
- Each system broadcasts a unique WiFi hotspot.
- SSID = Serial Number of the system (for example,
SDX-C0000043). - You can find the serial number on the system’s serial number plate.
2. Determine the WiFi Password
The default password follows this format:
<SerialNumber>-<YearOfConstruction>!Example:
- Serial number:
SDX-C000043 - Year of construction:
2024 - Password:
SDX-C000043-2024!
- Serial number:
- The year of construction is printed on the serial number plate.
Info
If you cannot read the serial number plate, contact Sodex Support and share any available identifiers, such as photos or labels.

Troubleshooting
SDX-Mate stays on the loading screen
If SDX-Mate shows “SDX-Compact is starting, please be patient” for more than a few minutes:
- Confirm that you are connected to the system hotspot.
- Reload
http://192.168.244.1. - Clear the browser cache.
- Check whether the system uptime exceeds 15 minutes.
Restart required
If SDX-Mate is still loading after some time (~10 minutes), restart the unit. This resolves the issue in known cases.
