If the system reports no internet connection and scanning is blocked, work out which part is affected before you restart anything. Cellular uplink, the local WiFi hotspot, the system itself, and GNSS each show differently.
Cellular uplink
Check the signal on the antenna side of the system, the SIM, and whether other devices on the same network have internet. If a SIM or a data plan limit applies, it is the first suspect.
Local hotspot and WiFi
Connect a phone to the system hotspot as in How to Connect to the SDX-Mate via WiFi. A "No internet" message on the phone is expected because the hotspot is local. If the hotspot is not visible or drops, the local WiFi is the problem.
The system itself
If SDX-Mate does not load at the usual address, the system is not reachable. Wait up to 15 minutes after power-on, then restart the unit once.
GNSS
A red GNSS indicator is a separate problem. See PLine and SDX-4DVision: The GNSS indicator stays red.
Write down the finding
If a technician fixes the problem on site, ask that the finding and the change are written down. In a past case the system recovered after the IPC and the LTE antenna were exchanged, but the failed part was not recorded.
What to send to Sodex Support
- System serial number and software version
- Which of the four areas above is affected
- Time of the first message and what you tried
