TL;DR To show stockpile tonnage in SDX-Cloud, create a project, add storage places with piles, set the density of each material, and add a dashboard widget that shows weight. The dashboard then reports each pile in tons from its measured volume and its material density.
Overview
This path takes you from an empty project to a dashboard that shows the weight of each stockpile. Each stage links to the article that does the work. Follow the stages in order.
Stage 1: Create the project
Everything in this path happens inside one project. Create the project that holds your site first. See SDX-Cloud: Creating a Project.
Stage 2: Add storage places and piles
In the Infomap, open Storages. A storage has a name and a location on the map. It contains piles, and each pile has a Soil and one or more geofences that outline it. If you want to pick a soil while you add a pile, set its density first (stage 3). For the full procedure, see Creating Storage Places in the Infomap.
Stage 3: Set the density of each material
Densities are stored per soil in Settings > Soils. The tonnage of a pile is its volume multiplied by the density of its soil, so a missing or wrong density gives a wrong tonnage. See SDX-Cloud: Set the density of a material.
Stage 4: Build the dashboard with tonnages
A dashboard widget turns the volume of a pile into weight. In Dashboards, add Bar chart - storage and set Soil notation to Weight. See SDX-Cloud: Create a tonnage dashboard. To compare the other widgets, see Dashboard - Widget Overview.
Stage 5: Read the result
The widget shows the weight of each pile in t. A pile without a geofence shows 0. If a weight looks wrong, check the density of the soil.
