What it does
You can capture screenshots of your current view in the Infomap and SDX CAD. The feature allows you to export either a clean visualization without UI elements or the full page including all visible interface elements.
Where to find it
You can use the screenshot feature in these views:
- Infomap top-down view
- SDX CAD 3D visualization
In both views, select the camera icon at the bottom right of the screen.
How to use it
- Open the Infomap top-down view or the SDX CAD 3D visualization.
- Select the camera icon at the bottom right.
- Choose the screenshot mode in the pop-up.
Screenshot modes
- 2D visualization only in the Infomap top-down view captures only the selected map view and terrain background without menus or UI elements.
- 3D visualization only in SDX CAD captures only the 3D visualization without menus or UI elements.
- Entire page captures everything currently visible on the screen, including open menus, panels, and measurement tools.
- Generate the screenshot.
- Image will be automatically saved to your local drive.
You should now see
- A screenshot based on the mode you selected.
- Either a clean visualization-only image or a full-page image with all visible UI elements.
Demo
The following Storylane shows how to use the different screenshot options in the 2D Infomap view and in SDX CAD 3D:
Limits / Notes
Visualization-only screenshots
- No menus, side panels, or other UI elements are included.
- Visible drawn elements, such as lines created in SDX CAD, are included in the screenshot.
- In the Infomap top-down view, the selected terrain map is included as the background.
Entire page screenshots
- Everything currently visible on the screen is included.
- This can include open menus, measurements, and other interface elements.
- This is useful when you want to document the full context of the current view.
Tip
Use the visualization-only option for clean exports. Use the entire page option when you want to show measurements, tools, or open panels.
