Summary
Personalization settings let you adapt SDX-Cloud to your language, units, time display, and interface preferences. These settings are saved to your user account, so they stay available when you use SDX-Cloud from different devices.
Introduction
You can open Settings from your user menu in the top-right corner of SDX-Cloud. The settings area is divided into Account, Personalization, and Notifications, so you can manage your profile details, adjust how SDX-Cloud looks and formats data, and control general notifications in one place.
Interactive demo: Use the guided walkthrough below to see where to open Settings and how the main sections are organized before you update your preferences.
Prerequisites
- You can sign in to SDX-Cloud.
- You can open your user menu in the top-right corner of the interface.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Open the settings area
- Sign in to SDX-Cloud.
- Select your user icon in the top-right corner.
- Select Settings.
Expected result: The settings area opens with the Account section selected.
2. Review and update account details
- Stay in the Account section.

- Confirm that your updated values are shown before you leave the section.
3. Configure personalization settings
- Open the Personalization section.
- In Language & Regional Preferences, set the options that match how you want to work in SDX-Cloud:
- Language: English, German, French, or Dutch.
- Conversion System: Metric or Imperial. If you select Imperial, you can also choose US survey feet or International feet.
- Number formatting: European, International, US, or Middle East.
- Set Timezone: Use your local timezone or select a different timezone manually.
- Timeformat: 24-hour clock or 12-hour clock.
- In Application Preferences, enable or disable the available checkboxes based on how you want SDX-Cloud to behave:
- Dark mode
- Disable project map
- Disable system map
- Disable tooltips
- Deactivate information-box
- Show manipulated snapshot version by default
- Show 3D-terrain in the infomap
- In Privacy, use Toggle cookie consent to control whether anonymized usage data can be collected to improve the product experience.

Note: SDX-Cloud uses your local timezone by default. If you set a different timezone manually, the displayed day and time of captured data can change.
Important: Disable tooltips and Deactivate information-box are best suited for experienced users who no longer need guidance in the interface.
Expected result: SDX-Cloud uses your selected language, formatting, and interface preferences for your user account.
4. Manage notification preferences

- Review the available notification options.
- Choose whether notifications should stay inside SDX-Cloud only or also be sent by email when that option is available.
- Review the newsletter settings if you want to receive marketing or product updates by email.
Expected result: Your general notification preferences are configured for both in-app and optional email delivery.
Limits and notes
- These settings are stored per user account, not per device.
- Notification settings here are general settings and are not tied to a specific system or project.
- Email notifications are sent from notifications@sdx-cloud.com.
- The Disable project map and Disable system map options control whether location maps are shown in the project list and system list.
