Version 1.1.5 introduces powerful on-site Survey & Measurement tools, a massive overhaul to map visualization, smoother mesh rendering on slopes, and important connectivity refinements.
Tip: Need to capture points quickly? Enable the new Speed Mode to skip the naming dialog and automatically sequence your captures (e.g., Point-1, Point-2).
New
Survey & Measurements
- Survey Management: You can now create, rename, and delete surveys directly within a project (accessible via the Scans / Surveys tab).
- Point Measurement: Capture single points with tilt-compensated GNSS coordinates. View detailed coordinate data (WGS84 + local), accuracy, solution type, and tilt angle.
- Line & Area Measurement: Capture lines from 2+ vertices with 2D/3D length calculations (including slope angles and height differences) or capture closed polygons from 3+ vertices to calculate 2D/3D area and perimeter.
- Tilt Compensation Integration: To ensure high-quality data, survey capture is now only enabled when tilt compensation reaches full convergence. Real-time tilt status and GNSS solution are displayed at the top of the map.
- Unit Support: Added full system support to switch between meters (m), feet (ft), and US survey feet across all distance and area values.
- Localization: Full app localization is now available for all new screens in both English & German.
Improved
Map Visuals & UI
- SDX-CAD Style Map Markers: Redesigned map markers to seamlessly match the SDX-CAD web app style. Points are displayed as cyan badges with name labels, line/area vertices as small cyan dots, and draft (in-progress) vertices as dashed orange dots.
- Map Rendering & Depth: Deeper zoom capabilities now allow the map to zoom in to 5 meters for a detailed view. Point, line, and area markers also consistently render above the current position pin for better visibility.
- Map Toggle: Added a quick-access button in the top right to easily switch between Satellite and Street views.
Mesh & Performance
- Mesh Overlay on Slopes: Increased the mesh geometry update rate from 5Hz to 10Hz per anchor. This significantly reduces visible lag when tilting the camera on steep slopes or transitioning between different surface heights (like pavement to grass).
- Faster BLE Tracking: The app now enables BLE broadcast notifications immediately upon characteristic discovery, ensuring it never misses initial position data streams when the GLRM starts up.
Fixed
- Invisible Mesh Chunks: Fixed a rendering bug where mesh chunks could become permanently invisible when ARKit first detected them beyond the maximum display distance, which previously caused rectangular visual cutouts.
- NTRIP Retry Timing: Fine-tuned the NTRIP reconnection logic by increasing the retry delay to 1.0 seconds for better stability when recovering from drops.
- Low Storage Survey Bug: Fixed an issue where tapping "Create" on a new survey did nothing if the device was low on storage. It now correctly presents an alert explaining the storage issue.
