This release introduces advanced snapshot download options for Data Projects, launches the new SDX-Cloud Free Tier, and adds reseller-specific support metadata controls.
Snapshot Downloads for Data Projects
This release introduces a major upgrade to the snapshot download workflow in Data Projects, unlocking powerful new export capabilities. Users now have full control over how point clouds are exported, with options tailored to both 3D and 2D data workflows. Whether you need raw point clouds for CAD/BIM integration or rasterized outputs for quick validation, the new download system delivers maximum flexibility.
The two export types are completely separate and offer different sets of configuration options:
3D Point Cloud Export
Used when selecting the "3D Point Cloud" option. This path creates a fully configurable raw point cloud export via a dedicated processing job.
Available Options
- File Types: LAS, LAZ, E57, CSV, PLY, XYZ
- Resolution: Custom-defined by the user (not higher than the resolution of the original data)
- Geofence (optional): Clip the export to a selected area
- Measurement Units: Meters, Feet, Survey Feet
- Coloring Mode:
- Original RGB
- Height Gradient (colorized by elevation)
2D Grid Export (Rasterized Snapshot Download)
Used when selecting the "2D Grid" option. This path generates a rasterized export from the manipulated or raw snapshot.
Available Options
- File Types: LAS, LAZ, E57, CSV, PLY, XYZ
- Resolution: Must be a multiple of the snapshot's base grid size
- Manipulated Toggle: Choose between exporting the original or the manipulated version of the snapshot
- Geofence (optional): Clip the export to a selected area
- Coloring Mode:
- Original RGB
- Height Gradient (colorized by elevation)
Snapshot downloads can be triggered either from the Data Export screen or directly via the snapshot selector dropdown in the Infomap (top-right corner). The interface will guide you through the process based on your selection.
Note: Exporting extremely large point clouds in non-sequential formats (CSV, XYZ, PLY) may exceed system memory limits. When this occurs, a clear error message will be displayed.
Upon successful export, a temporary download link is generated.
SDX-Cloud Free Tier Launch

- 1 Storage with up to 5 piles per project
Interface Adaptations:
- Free Tier badge shown in header with link to start free trial

Signup Process
All new Free Tier signups are routed via custom signup links (reseller-specific). Free trials and paid plans are still available through standard onboarding flows.
Upgrading
Users can upgrade from the Free Tier to a paid plan directly within the cloud interface. Visit the Organization → Shop section to unlock full access or start a free trial.
Note: Organizations are automatically downgraded to Free Tier when trials expire or no products are purchased. Only one user license is retained in this case.
Reseller Support Information Configuration
Resellers can now manage and display custom support contact details directly within the SDX-Cloud interface, making it easier for customers to reach the right support team.
Reseller Configuration
Each reseller can set their own support metadata in the Reseller section of SDX-Cloud. The following fields are supported:
- Title (e.g., "SITECH South Support Team")
- Email (primary contact address)
- Phone Number (optional)
- Note (optional message or support hours)
Customer-Specific Display Logic
Resellers can define different support configurations for each of the following customer types:
- Free Tier
- Free Trial
- Paid (No SDX System)
- Paid (With SDX System)
This allows resellers to control which customers see what information — for example, showing full support only to paying users.
Customer Experience
If support information is configured, customers will see a new support icon in the left-hand sidebar. Clicking it opens a popup with:
- Title
- Phone (if set)
- Note (if set)
- A link to the Sodex Helpcenter for documentation and guides
Even if no reseller support is shown, the Helpcenter link will always be available.
This system ensures that customers always know how to get help and gives resellers full control over their support presence in SDX-Cloud.
