Coverage and redundancy
The service is managed regionally so the strongest available correction source can be used for the area where you are working. In regions where more than one source is available, this improves resilience and supports the service commitment around uptime and continuity.
Failover and service control
If one correction source degrades, the service can be switched to another available source through the RTK Premium portal. This helps maintain continuity without requiring you to move to a different provider or a different global endpoint configuration.
Accuracy and baseline behavior
The service is designed for survey-grade work, with typical horizontal accuracy around 1–2 cm and vertical accuracy around 2 cm when coverage and field conditions are suitable. Depending on the region, coverage may come from a dense VRS network with up to 40 km between base stations or from a PPP-RTK service that can support longer baselines up to 100 km.
Configuration model
RTK Premium uses one global server address, one port, and one mountpoint. This makes setup easier to standardize across teams, devices, and countries. The exact place where you enter the credentials depends on the Sodex product you are using.
Reference frames
Across Europe, the service delivers coordinates in ETRS89/ETRF2000. In the USA, it uses NAD83. Local transformations are handled on the device side so the field setup can align with the local coordinate system required for the project.

RTK Premium Correction Data Service can be used across the Sodex product portfolio where correction-data services are supported. This includes SDX-PocketScan, SDX-Compact, and other Sodex setups that use RTK or NTRIP correction input.
