Data Storage in SDX-Cloud

What it does

Data Storage in the SDX-Cloud defines how much processed data your organization can store. All storage is pooled at organization level and shared across all projects.

Once your total data storage is used up, no additional data can be processed until more storage is available.

Where to find it

You can view your available data storage in:

Top right corner of the SDX-Cloud — shows total storage usage and other organization metrics such as available photogrammetry credits.
Project List → “Size” column — shows the total storage used by each project.
Inside a project — individual pages (for example Data Models or Snapshots) show storage usage per processed entity.

How data storage is calculated

Each organization has one total data storage pool. All counted data contributes to this single total.

Important
Data uploaded in the File Explorer is not counted toward your data storage. Only processed entities (listed above) are counted.

What happens when storage is full

If your organization reaches its total storage limit, manual imports are blocked.
Data uploaded by systems or external devices is set to Pending.
No data loss occurs for uploads from systems or external devices.
Once additional data storage is available, processing of pending data must be started manually.

Storage limit reached
While storage is full, you cannot process new Data Models, 2D-Plans, Orthophotos, Pins, or Snapshots until more storage is available.

How to get more data storage

Additional data storage can be purchased through the Shop in the SDX-Cloud (if available) or via your Sodex authorized dealer.

You can receive data storage in the following ways:

SDX-Cloud Base Package
Required for every organization.
Grants 2 TB of data storage.
SDX-Cloud Data Storage
Grants an additional 1 TB of data storage.
SDX-Cloud – Full User
Grants an additional 250 GB of data storage per license.
Sodex Hardware System License
Grants between 1 TB and 2 TB of data storage per license, depending on the license purchased.

Pooled storage
All purchased data storage is pooled at organization level. Storage granted through a system license is not restricted to that system and can also be used by user-generated data.

Limits and notes

All storage is shared across the entire organization.
Storage cannot be reserved per project or per system.
Only processed entities count toward usage.
Pricing is available in the SDX-Cloud Shop or from your Sodex authorized dealer.
