Learn how to activate a previously uploaded reference terrain in SDX-Cloud to enable comparison, volume analysis, and progress tracking. Activating a reference terrain allows you to use it as a baseline for cut/fill analysis, progress tracking, and deviation measurements. Once active, all relevant scans and snapshots can be automatically compared against the terrain model.
Prerequisites
- At least one processed reference terrain. If none is processed yet, see: How to import and process a reference terrain
Activate a Reference Terrain
Follow this tutorial to activate your reference terrain in a project:
Key Features
What changes when the reference terrain is active
SDX-Cloud uses the reference terrain as a baseline for comparisons, volume calculations, and deviation measurements across the project.
SDX-Cloud uses the reference terrain as a baseline for comparisons, volume calculations, and deviation measurements across the project.
- All scans and snapshots can be compared to the reference terrain
- With the new colorization, you can easily track your progress compared to the external terrain
- Reference terrains can be used for the volume calculation of storage places
- While the reference terrain is active, the measurements also display the exact difference to the reference terrain
