Learn how to import Ground Control Points (GCPs) during a dataset upload to ensure accurate photogrammetric processing in SDX-Cloud.
Introduction
When uploading a new image dataset to SDX-Cloud for photogrammetry, you can improve spatial accuracy by adding GCPs. This step is especially critical for drone-based image sets where survey-grade accuracy is required.
How to Import GCPs During Dataset Upload
To include Ground Control Points (GCPs) when uploading a new dataset, open your Data Project and start a new Snapshot Import. Enable the Use GCPs option and upload your CSV file.
Important Notes
- During photogrammetry, processing will only succeed if at least three GCPs are detected in at least three images each.
- Multiple GCP sets: Only one GCP set can be used per dataset. To use multiple GCP sets, import each dataset separately with a different set.
- GCP not showing up: Check for formatting errors in your CSV file.
