The Scin-App is the mobile application used on the viDoc (mobile phone scanner) to automatically upload data to the SDX-Cloud, initiating data processing and snapshot creation. This article explains the options available for obtaining an account to log into the Scin-App.

How to Access the Scin-App
1. User Invitation
- Any user invited to the SDX-Cloud via the User Management screen can use the Scin-App.
- If the organization has Scin-App access enabled, an additional toggle appears in the User Management screen to grant Scin-App access.
2. License Requirements
- A license is NOT required to log into the Scin-App.
- Users can log in and upload data to the SDX-Cloud without an active license.
- However, licensed users can access additional cloud functionalities.
3. Enabling Scin-App Access
- If the option to enable Scin-App access is not available, the organization's administrator must contact Sodex-Support to enable it.
- Scin-App access is not available by default and must be requested.

Workflow to Add a User
- Is there an existing user for the Scin-App?
- Yes:
- Enable access in the User Management screen.
- The user will be able to log into the Scin-App immediately.
- Verify that the user has the correct permissions and viDoc serial number assigned if required.
- No:
- Decide if the user should have full SDX-Cloud access or only Scin-App access.
- If full SDX-Cloud access is required, use the "Add Sodex User" button.
- If only Scin-App access is needed, use the "Add Device User" button.
- Yes:
- Adding a Sodex User:
- Click on the "Add Sodex User" button.
- Complete the required fields, including name, email, and role.
- Follow the signup process to set up a password.
- The user will now have access to both the SDX-Cloud and the Scin-App.
- Adding a Device User:
- Click on the "Add Device User" button.
- Enter the required details, including name, email, and viDoc serial number.
- Set a password directly during the invitation process.
- The user will be able to access the Scin-App without additional sign-up steps.
- Finalizing User Setup:
- Ensure the user has received their login credentials via email.
- Confirm that the viDoc device is properly linked to the user account.
- Test login and data upload functionality before deployment.
